Rabothytta

Rabothytta, operated by the Norwegian Trekking Association, opened in 2014 and is Northern Norway’s most spectacular tourist cabin. With its distinctive architecture and stunning views of the Okstindan mountains, Rabothytta is well worth a visit.

Visit Rabothytta

The area around Okstindan offers a network of marked hiking trails and cabins for those who enjoy mountain hiking. Rabothytta is the crown jewel of this network. Rabothytta is an unstaffed mountain lodge with 30 beds distributed across 7 bedrooms and a separate bedroom for you and your dog.

Rabothytta is located 1,200 meters above sea level, close to Okstindan Glacier and Okstindan, making it an excellent base for both glacier hiking and summit tours, summer and winter. The cabin is named after the French geologist Charles Rabot, who mapped parts of Okstindan Glacier in the late 1800s.

Rabothytta opened to visitors on August 16, 2014.
